Terms for using TariffScout.
Short, plain-language terms for the TariffScout monitoring service. They do not turn tariff information into advice.
Who provides the service
TariffScout is an independent Canadian tariff-monitoring service, operated as a sole proprietorship based in New Brunswick, Canada.

What the service does
TariffScout monitors the sources named on its site for selected Canadian tariff and duty changes and sends a cited digest. Coverage is limited to the sources and tariff items described on the service page. We may correct an error when we find one.
What the service does not do
TariffScout provides data, not advice. It is not customs brokerage, legal advice, a classification opinion, or a determination of the duties or penalties that apply to you. You remain responsible for your import decisions and should obtain advice from a qualified professional where needed.
Your use
Give us accurate contact and tariff-item information, use the service lawfully, and do not interfere with the site or service. A digest is for your internal business use or the client file you are authorized to serve; do not present TariffScout data as customs or legal advice.
Plans, billing and cancellation
Prices are in Canadian dollars before applicable taxes. Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless a refund rule below applies.
Refunds
Paid plans begin with a 14-day free trial with no card required. Cancel anytime in one click, with no fee or minimum term. If your first paid month is not worth it, email us within 30 days of the charge for a full refund. For a renewal charge, email within 7 days for a full refund. If a scheduled digest does not go out, that period is refunded in full on request. Refunds return to the original payment method. We aim to answer email within 3 business days and process refund requests within 5 business days.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. A new version will be posted here. Questions, cancellation, and refund requests can be sent to info@tariffscout.ca.
